Oslo Negativ 2024

Tanya Habjouqa/NOOR. Jordan Vally, Hamra, Occupied West Bank.

Tanya Habjouqa at Oslo Negativ

The fourth version of Oslo’s international photo festival Oslo Negativ is themed around the Norwegian term ‘brudd’, which can be translated to ‘break’, ‘rupture’ or ‘fracture’.

Fotografihuset is exhibiting extracts from the exhibition Birds Unaccustomed to Gravity, by award-winning photographer, journalist and anthropologist Tanya Habjouqa.

With her unique perspective, Habjouqa has mapped the boundaries that have defined Palestinian life during the occupation and up until the watershed on 7 October last year, when Gaza was hermetically closed to international journalists. The exhibition also includes photos taken on the Occupied West Bank in November 2023.

Come visit us at booth 24, opening times Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am -6 pm, October 12-27.

The exhibition is a collaboration with Preus museum, Norway’s National Museum of Photography.
