Artist talk and finissage: Tanya Habjouqa – Birds Unaccustomed to Gravity

Since 16 March, thousands of visitors have taken in the photo exhibition “Birds Unaccustomed to Gravity”. When the exhibition period is now coming to an end, Fotografihuset and Preus museum invite you to a closing event in the exhibition at Sukkerbiten on Saturday 01 June, where Tanya Habjouqa herself will guide the public through the exhibition and talk about her photos. The event coincides with Habjouqa coming to Oslo to take part in the photography festival Dokfoto.

On 1 June at 1 p.m., the artist will hold a free artist talk in the exhibition, organized by Fotografihuset and Preus Museum.

On 1 June at 4pm, Dokfoto’s festival program starts at Litteraturhuset, where Habjouqa is one of the participants. Dokfoto takes place on both Friday 31.05 and Saturday 01.06. On Friday, the festival program starts at 18.00.

Periskop believed that “Birds Unaccustomed to Gravity” could be one of the spring’s most important documentary exhibitions. If you have not yet brought it with you, we warmly recommend taking the opportunity.

– Sometimes I feel that international photojournalism, especially when it comes to editing and presentation, has failed the Palestinians. Tanja Habjouqa in an interview with Kunstavisen.
