Pilot program 2022

For the third year running, Fotografihuset’s pilot program offers a close and engaging encounter with photography in various genres through a series of exhibitions, film screenings, workshops, lectures and artist talks. This season, we invite you to enter into a dialogue with photography as a democratic, inclusive medium that can convey something about the fundamental, common humanity – about what connects us as people, despite differences in background, belonging and identity. We will also focus on how photography can contribute to perceptions and actions based on what is presented as real, true or untrue.

Host program – Young mediators

Also in the 2022 summer season, Fotografihuset’s pavilion at Sukkerbiten will be staffed by young exhibition hosts Wednesday-Friday from 4-6pm and at weekends from 2-6pm. These hosts in the age group 18-25 will be part of a “hosting programme” where they will receive a basic introduction to the dissemination of artistic and documentary photography with an emphasis on the stories the images contain. The hosts will be tasked with conveying this in small five-minute lectures during their shifts, every full hour during the pavilion’s opening hours.
